MCL 769.4a Definition

MCL 769.4a provides for a first offense domestic violence to be taken under advisement and dismissed if the defendant successfully completes a term of probation. MCL 769.4a can only be granted by a court with the prosecution’s consent. This law enables a first-time offender for domestic violence to keep his or her record clean.
